Oh when one has to resort to empty rhetorics to fill a superficial historical account! Just like indicating similar latitudes to Chateauneuf when the place is more than fourty minutes away! Lovely spinning doctor! Beautiful place the Crestet is and it was gorgeous before this luxurious elitist "eagle's nest" place was created. As for the residual acidity, still haven't found it! The wines are typical new world wines: rich and bland.

I'm drinking some of the Royal Tokaji late harvest Furmint right now. It's not an Aszu wine with the botrytis grapes - but it's absolutely delicious in its own right. Tokaji is some good shit!

if you want lesser oak the youd use a bigger barrel for less surface area per amount of liquid.. smaller barrels are only to save time

Even though the video is challenging, it’s very cool you did this live with the proprietors. I live in Ontario, Canada and just purchased their Lagnusa Nero D’Avola at the LCBO. We don’t usually get wines from Sicily here. Wow, I am totally speechless with the quality and the aromatics of this wine. It’s so seductive, complicated and beautiful. It’s worthy of sitting beside great Burgundian wines. Rating is super subjective after the 90 point benchmark, but with the complicated complexity of this beautiful wine, I’d say it’s worth 95 points...a classic representation of an indigenous varietal. You can definitely taste the soul of the proprietor in this wine. Cheers.

I was under the impression that long ago.. you needed a royal degree to open a bottle like this... And thats why it was called royal tokay... im from australia and its hard to find it here... but if you do get some its worth it.. its a very nice wine...
